Korea has an English news website for kids called 'The Kids Times.'
Every week I have to pick an article to discuss in my class. This was
one of the choices for this week. Has anyone in America heard of this?
Punch Me to Feel Better!
At one time or another everyone gets stressed because of studying or work. Sometimes we feel like punching someone or something to relieve our stress. When you are really angry and want to punch something, go to New York City and find ‘Punch Me Panda’, a human punch bag. Soon, you will feel much better!
If you feel the need to hit something, call Punch Me Panda, who is wandering the streets of New York. He will let you hit him until you feel better! A 33-year-old American man named Nate Hill is the man behind the Punch Me Panda costume. He dresses up as a panda and encourages people to hit him on the streets.
So, who is he and why does he do this? When he is not wearing his funny-looking panda suit, Mr. Hill works in a laboratory and cares for fruit flies used in experiments. “I know people sometimes get very angry and want to punch things,” he explained. “I want to help people relieve their stress by punching me. No matter how big your problem is, a few punches will make you feel a lot better.”
Mr. Hill says he feels happy when he sees people’s faces glow after punching him. Don’t worry; he uses cushions to protect himself against the blows he receives every day.
So when you are stressed or angry, call Punch Me Panda and relieve your stress!

I
want a Punch Me Panda in front of my apartment! In other weird 'Kids
Times' news, people have adapted Quidditch so that you can play it in
real life (see below). It's a strange news week here at the 'Kids
Times.'
(...) Surprisingly, many students all around the world are playing the game for real! Obviously, the students can’t actually fly, but the rules of the game still require players to hold on to broomsticks while playing. Players have to take on different roles when playing the game, such as trying to score a goal or defend against the opposite team.
One player even has to catch the ‘golden snitch,’ a magical ball which instantly wins you the game if you catch it. However, in the real life version of the game the snitch is somebody running around dressed in yellow!
The players of this sport say they know it might look crazy, but that doesn’t mean it’s not a real sport. “We know our sport seems strange, but basketball might seem crazy too if you were to watch it for the first time,” a player from Washington DC said. (...)
