Grateful 209

and I took a day trip around eastern Bali. First, we went to Tenganan, a traditional village known for its weaving. Then, we went to Tirta Gangga to see the water palace (pictured here). Lastly, we went to Goa Lawah, the bat cave, to see thousands of bats fly out of the cave at dark.

In addition to all of this, we drove past lots of beautiful beaches and rice terraces; ate tons of amazing fruit; sang along to old Boyz II Men, Phil Collins, and Whitney Houston songs that our friendly driver played for us; and got to wear the new sarongs that we haggled for this morning. An all around great day!
